Our upcoming course will be held in our new CAD/CAM and digital centre at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University.

This is an introductory course that will focus on:
To familiarize the practitioners with the latest in CAD/CAM technology and its different application, and the variable materials that can be used in everyday prosthodontics practice.
At the end of this course,the participants will be able to perform the following:
. Understand the basics of CAD/CAM
. Understand the multiple applications of CAD/CAM
. Understand the different available materials and what material to use and when
. Demonstration of different preparation designs and digital solutions for fabrication of indirect restorations with tips and tricks.
. Get familiar with CAD/CAM designing software and perform different design patterns
. Imaging and scanning intra-orally and extra-orally
. Showing digital aesthetic planning and smile designing.
. Understanding bonding, cementation and temporisation for ceramic restorations.
The course will comprise lecture sessions on CAD/CAM evolution and a workshop on the machine including imaging, scanning and designing of different types of restorations.
Each attendee will have the opportunity to use the CEREC machine for imaging and designing to get familiar with the software.
The training will comprise practice for anterior and posterior preparations and bonding.
